Street Sweeping

The City of Paramount provides street sweeping services to all neighborhoods in Paramount. Signs are posted at the entrance of each neighborhood, and as needed to notify you of the date and time street sweeping will occur. This means if your street sweeping day falls on one of the holidays listed below, your street will be skipped that week and will resume on the regularly scheduled day of the following week. The street sweeping observed holidays are (please note, canceled sweeps will NOT be made up): 

• New Year’s day
  • Wednesday, Jan. 1 – Holiday, no sweeping, no make up day
  • Thursday, Jan. 2 – sweeping follows normal Thursday schedule
  • Friday, Jan. 3 – sweeping follows normal Friday schedule
• Martin Luther King Jr. Day
  • Monday, Jan. 15 – Holiday, no sweeping, no make up day
• President’s Day
  • Monday, Feb. 17 – Holiday, no sweeping, no make up day
• Cesar Chavez Day
  • Monday, Mar. 31 – Holiday, no sweeping, no make up day
• Memorial Day
  • Monday, May 26 – Holiday, no sweeping, no make up day
• 4th of July
  • Friday, Jul. 4 – Holiday, no sweeping, no make up day
• Labor Day
  • Monday, Sept. 1 – Holiday, no sweeping, no make up day
• Veterans Day
  • Tuesday, Nov. 11 – Holiday, no sweeping, no make up day
• Thanksgiving & the day after Thanksgiving
  • Thursday, Nov. 28 – Holiday, no sweeping
  • Friday, Nov. 29 – sweeping follows normal Friday schedule
• Christmas Eve & Christmas Day
  • Wednesday, Dec. 25 – Holiday, no sweeping
  • Thursday, Dec. 26 – sweeping follows normal Thursday schedule
  • Friday, Dec. 27 – sweeping follows normal Friday schedule
